Located in the neighborhood of Hillsmere Shores in Annapolis, Maryland, The Key School is an independent, coeducational school that was established in 1958 by a group of tutors from St. John’s College. Around the campus is a walkway made of wood chips. After many years of use, the walkway began to deteriorate since the woodchips would move around and shift due to there not being any borders or barriers.
The administration at Key School contacted Maryland Curbscape about putting in a custom concrete landscape borders around the perimeter of the walkway. This would give it a clean, simple, manicured look that would ultimately require less maintenance.
Now, the walkway can be enjoyed by all students and teachers without the worry of woodchips being scattered about.
