Concrete Outdoor Improvements that complement the Annapolis Home Style

In each of our projects, we evaluate different areas, home styles, and then customize our recommendations for each client. Home spaces can include backyard patios, entertainment areas, or general outdoor living. For this case in Annapolis Maryland, we focused on the small backyard of a single-family home that wanted a pattern and style that would complement their home.

The outdoor area consisted of dirt, grass, native Maryland shrubs and the homeowners were limited due to size and space. We used a beautiful Grand Canyon stone, a versatile design that deep, groutable joints that separate sizable natural stone shaping. With this stamped concrete, we tied the expanse to the stairway, giving it a flow and nice continuity. The end result was an area of clean, useable concrete space that is still warm and more importantly maintenance-friendly.

Unlike brick pavers or stone which can shift with vegetation movement in between or require upkeep, stamped concrete necessitates resealing every 2-3 years as needed, but otherwise is easy to keep.
